My Story
Hi, I’m Maya — a graphic designer, small business owner, and lover of all things creative and hands-on. I’ve been doing graphic design for over four years, and I’m in my final year of college, graduating this February with my degree in Graphic Design. My work blends visual storytelling, branding, and design thinking, with a special passion for projects that feel both beautiful and intentional.
When I’m not working on school projects, I’m running MilanosDesigns, my stationery and paper goods business. I design, print, and package everything by hand — from stickers and prints to creative paper goods — all inspired by the little moments, nostalgia, and the joy of holding something tangible in a digital-first world.
I’m also part of the local creative community, selling my work at Shop Bloom PVD in Providence, Rhode Island, alongside other makers and artists. Connecting with customers face-to-face and seeing my designs in real life is one of my favorite parts of what I do.
I believe design is more than just how something looks — it’s about how it makes people feel, the story it tells, and the connections it creates. Whether it’s a brand identity for a small business, a subway ad reimagined for a new audience, or a magazine celebrating the importance of print media, I approach every project with curiosity, care, and a love for details.
My goal is to continue growing as a designer, collaborate with passionate individuals, and create work that sparks inspiration in others.
